My wife and I stayed with Scott and Leya recently for 3 nights. The log cabins were ultra modern and the bed extremely comfortable which is a bonus after spending all day on the river. I have heard of Scott's legendary skills as a guide from others for many years and he surely didn't disappoint. I have been fishing NZ for over 5 years usually 2 trips a year and in my 2 1/2 days fishing with Scott, I caught more fish than all my other trips combined!
Scott's skills on the river are equalled by Leya's culinary skills. The ingredients are sourced locally if not from their garden and are of the highest quality. The "icing on the cake" is the opportunity to chat with both before, during and after the meal sharing stories (not all fish tales) and lovely wine.
I enjoyed it so much I just booked my February trip with them. The only concern I have is being able to outdo my last trip.
